| This bulletin announces a revision to the Summary of Requirements for the ongoing file review for the eleventh edition of the UL Standard for Switchboards, UL 891. The date of the revision was July 26, 2005, and the effective date for these requirements is July 26, 2007. The change to the Standard that is the focus of this revision was originally identified as a correction to a typographical error, and for that reason was not acknowledged in the Summary of Requirements. It has been determined that this change may represent a substantive change to some manufacturers, especially with the consideration that the Standard itself serves as part of the Follow-Up Service Inspection Procedure. The Summary of Requirements are provided on the UL website in their entirety. Attached, as Appendix A, is an errata for the Summary of Requirements that details the revision that is the subject of this bulletin. Questions regarding the requirements identified in the Summary of Requirements or the status of the file review process should be directed to the responsible UL Staff. Please see Appendix B of this bulletin regarding designated responsibility for the subject product category. | |
